Industrial
A structure’s purpose often overrides architectural intent in the industrial sectors of the industry. This usually simplifies the architectural challenges that could otherwise dominate the design.
Purpose-built structures with long spans as are often required for manufacturing, storage and distribution type buildings require specialised and diverse experience to enable a “fit for purpose” structure to be built.
James Ellis & Associates Pty Ltd uses tilt-up technology to provide the structure with column free perimeter walls. Our understanding of tilt-up and precast build-ability and design enables architects and the design team to produce the most cost-effective solutions for these types of structures. Large spans that govern the design purpose of a structure may require the use of trussed roof systems to alleviate or abrogate the need for internal column supports.
